Skype for business mac verifying certificate check your clock settings

Users receive the following error upon trying to sign in ' There was a problem verifying the certificate from the server. I realise that the Skype experience for those on OS X is not comparable with the features of the Windows client, but we have an issue where users on OS X cannot sign in to Skype at all from home.

We have a Skype for Business system which works fine for our users.except those on OS X.
